The details of The Office spinoff are starting to take shape with the news that White Lotus' Sabrina Impacciatore, 56, and Domhnall Gleeson, 40, from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker have been cast, per The Hollywood Reporter.
There's no news about what the updated take on creators Greg Daniels and Michael Koman's show is yet as details remain closely guarded.
Last fall it was announced that the spinoff would not be a reboot of the wildly popular sitcom but instead be set in its universe.
Daniels and Koman opened a production office in January and have been quietly putting together the moving parts ever since with the start of production rumored to be as soon as the fall.
After opening the office, Daniels asked Koman to be the co-creator of the series, which is set in a world that will not resemble his original 2005 mockumentary.

It is likely that the new show will feature a documentary crew doing a documentary about a different subject is a possibility as a premise for a possible Office universe extension, Daniels has said in the past.
Impacciatore is best known as Valentina, the manager of the hotel in Sicily in the second season of Max's White Lotus.
Her portrayal earned her a supporting actress in a drama series Emmy nomination.
Gleeson is perhaps best-known for his role as General Hux in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, The Last Jedi and The Force Awakens as well as his role as Bill Weasley in the Harry Potter franchise.
He is currently appearing in the FX limited series The Patient opposite The Office's Steve Carrell.
He also stars in AppleTV+'s upcoming Fountain of Youth, opposite another former Office star, John Krasinski.
Daniels, meanwhile has a lot on his plate. He's working on another season of his Amazon sitcom Upload and also on a new season King of the Hill with Mike Judge.
The Office premiered in 2015 with an ensemble cast including Carell, Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, B.J. Novak and Jenna Fischer. The show also starred Mindy Kaling, Leslie David Baker and Melora Hardin.
The story follows the employees of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company based in Pennsylvania.

The series was inspired by the Ricky Gervais-led British original and ultimately became a cultural phenomenon with the series finale being viewed by a staggering 5.69 million people in 2013.
Since the ending of the beloved syndicated series, there have been many talks about continuing the show.
However, Daniels is steadfast that he is not interested in creating a reboot but wants to create a new series with new actors that may revisit the original characters in some way.
Original cast members could make appearances in a new franchise series but a reunion seems unlikely.
